This Privacy Policy explains how DeepAI VC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit deepai.vc or interact with our newsletter, Community, and related services (the "Services").

By using the Services and submitting your information, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you voluntarily submit it through our forms, sign-up flows, or by contacting us:

We collect:

  • LinkedIn profile URL
  • Company name
  • Role or title
  • How you operate (for example, "VC" or "Founder")
  • Any other details you choose to provide in free-text fields or communications

1.2 Usage and technical data

We may also collect:

  • Pages you visit, links you click, and time spent on our site

  • To create and maintain a private member Directory for the Community (see Section 3)

We do not use your personal information for purposes that are materially different from those described here without informing you and, where required, obtaining your consent.


3. Community Directory

If you are accepted into our Community, we may include limited parts of your personal information in a private member Directory that is visible only to other approved Community members. This may include:

  • Your name
  • Your company
  • Your role or title
  • Your LinkedIn profile URL
  • High-level tags such as "VC" or "Founder"

The purpose of the Directory is to help vetted members of the Community discover and connect with each other.

You can request to be removed from the Directory at any time by contacting us at li@deepai.vc. We will remove your profile from the Directory on a go-forward basis, although we may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We do not make the Directory publicly available on the open internet, and we do not sell the Directory to third parties.


4. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK Residents)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: When you voluntarily provide your information and actively opt in to receive our emails or to join the Community.
  • Legitimate interests: To operate and improve our Services, maintain an internal business database, and understand our audience, so long as these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligations: Where we must process data to comply with applicable laws.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, as described in Section 8.


5. How We Share Your Information

  • Other approved Community members, through the private member Directory, as described in Section 3.

We do not sell your personal information.

  • While you are subscribed to our newsletter or part of the Community
  • For a reasonable period afterward to maintain our internal historical records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes
